Varsha Gaikwad has resigned as Maharashtra’s minister of education for schools. “It has been a privilege to serve Maharashtra as the Minister of School Education for the last 2.5 years. I’m delighted we were able to do anything to improve a child’s schooling in the state,” the minister said on social media. For the chance to serve as education minister, the minister praised the Congress leadership, Mahavikas Aghadi, and the residents of the state.

The two decisions, according to Gaikwad, are “a 15% concession in the qualifying marks for defense personnel and families of martyred soldiers in the Teacher Eligibility Test in Maharashtra” and “a Happiness Curriculum will be introduced from this year for Std 1 to 8 in all Government & Aided Marathi Medium Schools.” “The greatest service you can do for your country is to protect it. We must support them and their families, the minister continued.
