According to a press release from BM’s Center for Advanced Studies (CAS) and Evoke, the WeaveSphere technology conference will take place between November 15 and 17, 2022, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

The conference will unite notable leaders and researchers from many sectors in order to share information, spark ideas, and cooperatively build future innovations.

“WeaveSphere aims to build a bridge between academia, research, and the industry to help accelerate innovation, spark new ideas, and create connections for academics, researchers, developers, founders, investors, and industry leaders to help achieve their shared goals of changing business and society through technology,” says Patrick Kasebzarif, executive producer of WeaveSphere.

The organizations merged in 2019 to advance their joint objective of connecting academics and researchers with developers, IT pioneers, and investors. Since then, CASCON x Evoke events have drawn thousands of attendees.

The major industry gathering, now called as WeaveSphere, will be held at IBM’s Center for Advanced Studies for a third straight year. Since its inception in 1991 at the IBM Toronto Lab, the conference has grown to become the premier event for computer science and software engineering in Canada.

According to Dr. Vio Onut, the general chair of the WeaveSphere Conference, “IBM has developed a strong academic community in Computer Science and Software Engineering over the past three decades through the CASCON conference.” “Through our partnership with Evoke, we have established connections between members of our academic community and startups, SMEs, and major corporations during the past three years. We are really eager to bring together the academic, scientific, and business sectors at a conference where innovation and research will be the focus of everything.”

Technical seminars, interesting workshops, research presentations, creative exhibitors, a variety of pitch competitions, and awards ceremonies will all be featured at the event. The IBM Center for Advanced Studies will continue to host the academic and research portions of WeaveSphere.
