A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Emerson, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic (ADPoly), the Institute of Applied Technology’s subsidiary, and Edutech, a provider of learning and technology solutions, in order to develop the local talent pool and promote science, engineering, and technology as viable career options for UAE residents.

The contract was signed by Dr. Ali Hilal Al Naqbi, director of ADPoly, and Vidya Ramnath, president of Emerson’s Automation Solutions division in the Middle East and Africa, with the assistance of Shameema Parveen, co-founder of Edutech Middle East.

A key component of Emerson’s diversity, equality, and inclusion approach, according to Ramnath, is forging solid alliances with educational organizations like ADPoly and Edutech to inspire young people and women to pursue STEM careers.

“Through this cooperation, we want to provide the next generation of STEM leaders the motivation they require to follow their chosen career path with passion and to the best of their ability. We are privileged to work with ADPoly in implementing this aspect of our curriculum because of both their stellar track record and our shared objective for encouraging rewarding careers in STEM, the official continued.

“We think partnerships between business and academics have the power to significantly alter the way technical education is taught and how it is taught. In order to increase the UAE’s competitiveness and economic potential in response to fast technological development and escalating global competition and to build toward UAE Vision 2021 and Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, we started this partnership.

The collaboration between Emerson and ADPoly will provide a well-rounded education that satisfies the demand for an informed, enthusiastic, and career-ready student body, according to Parveen.

Collaboration between ADPoly and Emerson

The message highlights Emerson’s function in providing possibilities for ADPoly students, including internship and talent programs, academic and research assistance in accordance with Emerson’s technological and business capabilities, and career mentoring.

The memorandum of agreement is governed by a steering committee made up of members from each organization to supervise the fulfillment of the collaboration, and it is effective for two years following the signing.
