Students from a Melbourne school have replaced the pen with the (virtual) whiteboard marker in a fantastic effort to inform their instructors of the most recent technological trends.
On BenQ’s leading interactive flat screens, students from Our Lady of the Pines Primary School (OLOP) recently put on a fun and interesting performance.
As part of the BenQ Junior Academy, a global initiative that aims to empower youngsters to take control of their learning and become leaders in the classroom, the “TechOLOPy” team of young students helped their instructors and classmates learn the ins and outs of using the panels.
Younger kids are coached by the talented TechOLOPy team on a range of subjects, including coding, classroom technology, and promoting cyber safety in the neighborhood.
The first school in Australia to participate in the BenQ program, according to Anna Holman, OLOP’s Digital Technology Leader, and they couldn’t be happier with how students handled the task.
Students in a workshop first learnt how to use the panels from the BenQ team before flipping the classroom and taking on the role of teachers.
They gave examples of how to utilize the panels for wireless screencasting, digital whiteboarding, and game-based learning.
In order to better engage and motivate students, gamified learning, which has gained popularity in schools, incorporates game-like elements into lessons.
